Pets are fast becoming abandoned by their owners who abandon their homes as witnessed by The San Joaquin Animal Shelter in Stockton , California getting desperate calls from about-to–be-evicted pet owners. Many of these pet owners have been turned down by other pet rescue groups and they are desperate.

Many of these pet owners had to leave their home due to foreclosure in the aftermath of the mortgage crisis and have not thought through their affairs carefully.
